Not too surprised. Mick Jagger lost his edge somewhere around 1968, and in a lot ways, in their twilight, The Rolling Stones were not as guilty of the crime of churning out heartless commercial crap as Nickelback, but they were pretty bad. Anything for the crack money and groupies, though, and sadly enough Nickelback probably has to beat them down with a stick. Neil Young was also on that bill, Miles Davis didn't like opening so he showed up late so Steve Miller had to so on first.

These albums were recorded the same night.

Neil Young and Sonic Youth toured together for a while. Though I think that was probably really cool.

I once saw Lostprophets open for Metallica and Slipknot. I think its fair to say they sank like a lead zeppelin and deservably so.

Also not THAT odd but I can't believe that in 1992, The Jesus And Mary Chain done a tour with My Bloody Valentine and Dinosaur Jr and also had Blur opening for them.
