I would say the 70's punk movement it was great and brought what people wanted to say to the table.....I like it mainly in the UK though....for some reason, things are just better there....

Im trying to think of a music movement that hasnt been exploited by the media but I cant. Maybe the 50s' rockabilly scene or the beat/mod scenes. Or traditional ska

totally agree, stuff like lucy in the sky with diamonds is insane, the lyrics to that song is awesome totally blows my mind. hendrix is another great example.
