I actually haven't heard any of his music since Genesis and his solo career in the late 70s and 80s.

Does his latest music and style resemble his earlier work?

mostly overproduced

stuff after "So", he's more into textures and the songs ain't that good

"Scratch My Back" isn't a very good collection of covers, as opposed to something like, say Bryan Ferry's "Dylanesque" where he at least puts his own stamp on them, and yet is faithful to the original's vibe

Hey, I love Peter Gabriel. That doesn't stop "Games Without Frontiers" from sounding horrible (to be fair, that was mostly Kate Bush's fault).

And by the way, I think "Solsbury Hill" is a great song. There's nothing overproduced about it.

Those guys are part of a genre called "Crabcore", which seems to involve holding guitars near the ground with legs thrust wide apart.
