I do love female voices because they bring some sexiness that sometimes men lack. Some female singers bring that rawness and that raunchy sound that you cannot get enough of. Yep, I hope some day we can have some female singers team up and bring their sexy raunchy voices together. I would love that idea.

Girls are the sexy thing that God created.

Important to notice FPK.

I like when female voice is added for a little bit of flare or sexiness in a rock song... but I don't usually like when the lead vocalist is female...

My top favorite bands happen to be guy singers, but that's because I'm in love with their voices and the sound of the band not because of gender! Besides three out of four of the lead singers of my favorite bands have been said to sound female at some point by random people around the web so I highly doubt it's due to gender.

Just because females are underrepresented in music doesn't mean they aren't as good. Females are underrepresented in a plethora of industries due to the fact that males, in some cases, have more opportunities to become successful. It doesn't mean female singers are of any less merit. Especially if you are going back in time to eras where sexism was still more prevalent.

Aretha Franklin
Coco Taylor
Big Mama Thornton
Janis Joplin
Chaka Khan

Male and female vocals sound different, and are therefore suitable for different things. In genres like hard rock and punk, I prefer male vocals. In "epic" genres like symphonic rock, classical music, power metal, folk music, you name it, female vocals can add something really great to the atmosphere. As for instruments, all that matters is whether the musician is talented or not.

My brother once said a female singer is like a glass of cold water. For some reason that analogy always stuck with me.
