Is anybody still doing this? I'm interested in trading tomorrow around 12:00 CST.

Forgive my ignorance, but I don't have any music on my computer (I have a stereo system in the same room as the computer). Can I simply put a CD in my computer and upload it to the site? Thanks in andvance for helping me out!

You don't upload the music. It just needs to be on your computer. You can rip music from CDs to your computer, and that will work.

No one is ever logged on. I've been getting tons of awesome stuff lately, just not from any of my MB buddies. Sadness.

Wow I forgot all about this. Shame it never took off. I remember being excited about it but nobody really being available. I don't think I ever traded with anyone. Shame.

Generally, how good is Soulseek as a means for finding music? Is it generally safe and simple with diversity of material? I'm pretty ****ing tired of it taking two or three hours to pick up new music every week, what with mediafire being stripped of downloads, and alternative websites restricting your bandwidth and downloads.

Mediafire is stripped of downloads now too? Ugh.

I've been using it more now that all the file sharing sites have been stripped and/or shut down, and I've been having great success finding everything I've looked for so far.

I'm giving it a go today. There's a lot I don't really understand, and it seems like a really slow way to go about getting a bit of music. It's been a bit of a pain in the ass trying to find a few things as well. Argh.

PedanticBastard if anyone wants to know.
