I don't think that's what he was getting at, but I will say that Coldplay's sound lies a lot closer to Radiohead than it does Oasis.

Are you referring to me exclusively or also dac with that post? He also think they're closer to Radiohead after all....

And since when has someone's perception on a sound have anything to do with knowledge of the music in question? That's almost as idiotic as saying someone is somehow inferior to you just because you happen to like Radiohead while they can't stand the group at all. You're both hearing the exact same thing, yet two completely different opinions result from the listening experience. That doesn't make either of you wrong.
