Haven't had the privilege to be there without a band. I think some of the dudes from Creepoid do a DJ night there called "Stoner Boner". It's either at The Necktie or Johnny Brendas.

Sounds like my kind of DJ night.

I used to work like two blocks from there so I went there sometimes after work just for a drink.

Friend of mine had an extra ticket to Explosions in the Sky. I went. It was boring as all hell. Sorry EITS. Then, last night I saw Paris Monster again. Great band.

I had the opportunity to see EITS, but didn't go. Sad to hear they were boring.

Saw Sonny Landreth & Cindy Cashdollar play together, without a backing band, last night. I've seen Sonny on 3 other occasions but had never seen Cindy before last night's show. Sonny started the show by playing 3 songs solo before Cindy joined him onstage for the rest of the performance. A nice, tasty slice of slide guitar heaven!

Here are a few photos I took at the show...

And a video of Sonny & Cindy playing their version of "Chez Seychelles" a traditional Cajun waltz...

I went to Taking Back Sunday a couple of weeks ago. It was pretty good but they played Tidal Waves all the way through and I just wanted to hear their old stuff!

Saw Samantha Fish again last night. She sold out the venue for the second time this year and put on a smokin' hot show as usual. Lightnin' Malcolm opened the show doing a one man band performance with a mix of blues, country, reggae, folk and soul. He joined Samantha onstage for the encore which I recorded...
