Since I have started doing gigs/music events I've had the chance to see:
Madness The Farm The Libertines Little Mix J Hus Broken Social Scene (And JOHNNY FUCKING MARR played guitar for the first track) Some good events coming up as well. I'm maybe going to start a journal...?

I've always wanted to see Pete Doherty in person. I never fancied you a Libertines man.

I have been a fan for years. Though I had no choice which artists would be performing, just been rather fortunate so far.

I was in Brooklyn last night with a friend. We were waiting for our friends to get out of Iron and Wine (I'm not paying $40 to be sung lullabies) and we found a show happening down the road in the basement of a seafood restaurant. A band I really liked in high school, Cinemechanica, was playing with a band I've never heard of called DAD. DAD was okay but holy **** was Cinemechanica tight as sh*t. Brought me right back to my dirty basement shows considering they're a math rock/noise/post hardcore type of deal. Really energetic and just on total point. Best small show I've been to in a while. I ended up buying their record and we all drank some beers and kicked around a hacky sack afterwards. I felt like I was in High School again. Felt nice to be a care free lame punk kid again.
Anyway, if you're into that kind of music, check this out. |
