Officially the best band to ever see live were the Who in the 1960s and 1970s, they seem to top nearly every "best ever live act" poll.

I've always thought it odd that what a lot of people consider to be "the best live act" doesn't usually offer you the opportunity to actually be anywhere near the band, but rather revolves around the production and stage effects. IMO, the best live show I've ever been to gave me the chance to be packed 150 kids deep in a very small, very acoustic basement only 3 feet from the group. Being able to hop on stage with the actual performers and scream your head off is basically what makes shows worthwhile to me, or just the fact that you're there more as a means of being a part of something rather than all the standing and waiting, then finally getting to watch the act from afar. More often than not the musics better too

Thats a band I would've liked to have seen in concert, except for when Keith Moon was to fucked up to play. Like their concert in Cleveland when Moon passed out on stage and they had to retrieve a drummer from the audience.

The Who definitely had to be one of the best live concerts to see back in the day.

That's not a good guess blaster, that is absolutely what I incoherently rant about over and over again. You have been listening not simply to my rants, but, you have been listening to yourself think. And, that answers your question about Logos. The Word of Providence that exists and connects all of us. Cosmic Consciousness, the Holy Spirit, that is called many things depending on the teachings.

When you wrote this you were not guessing, were you? You knew what you were typing was Truth. Something inside you clicked, and, you knew, you did not have to guess. Am I correct? I know I am, because that is how it works. No one 'talks to god'. It is a 'thought' process, that is very subtle, and, more like an 'aha I get it'! You get a little rush, and, you know what you are thinking is Truth.

Dylan never stops singing about Maggie. Notice the story this time, however. I won't quote scriptures, but, check out the concepts of "bride and bridegroom", which is a major portion of the teachings of Logos through Jesus, as well as all other teachings. Spiritual unification.

Most love songs are about 'lost Loves'; the happier ones are always done by women.

1. Oh, where is little Maggie
Over yonder she stands,
Rifle on her shoulder,
Six-shooter in her hand.

2. How can I ever stand it,
Just to see them two blue eyes,
Shinin' like some diamonds,
Like some diamonds in the sky.

3. Rather be in some lonely hollow
Where the sun don't ever shine,
Than to see you be another man's darling,
And to know that you'll never be mine.

4. Well, it's march me away to the station
With my suitcase in my hand,
Yes, march me away to the station,
I'm off to some far-distant land.

5. Sometimes I have a nickel,
And sometimes I have a dime,
Sometimes I have ten dollars,
Just to pay for little Maggie's wine.

6. Pretty flowers are made for blooming,
Pretty stars are made to shine,
Pretty girls are made for boy's love,
Little Maggie was made for mine.

7. Well, yonder stands little Maggie
With a dram glass in her hand,
She's a drinkin' down her troubles
Over courtin' some other man.

peace blaster. Thanks for taking the time for my nonsense. You've definitely woke Her up.

You wanna see your inner schizophrenic? Take some mushrooms. I've had good experiences with them, but I've also had some horrible experiences where I was losing my mind. Speaking of Dark Side of the Moon, I was listening to that on shrooms once and it penetrated my mind so deep in a strange, schizophrenic way. I had to turn it off, felt like my brain was going to explode.
I went to the midnight movies in 1980 tripping my a&s off, and watched "The Wall". I swore I saw Satan And, the first time I saw them in concert, I dove to the floor when the pig flew over the stadium. Acid, not shrooms. And, tequila.
Nothing shows you a divided Spirit better than a good hallucinogenic.

Steve, you should write a book.

And I would say that The Allman Brothers were the best band to see live, and still is one of the best live bands.

I have blaster. Four and working on five. Publishing is the problem. It takes money now, and, that is the problem.

Did you ever get a chance to see Stevie Ray Vaughan? Three times, and, he was arguably the best live performer I have ever seen.

peace bro

Based on watching them perform live on the "Isle of Wight" dvd and the 2 songs that were shown on the "Woodstock" film, I`d say from a neutral perspective they were the band to see live, even more so than Zeppelin.

You mean it could have actually happened some place worse than Cleveland Ohio?

Just seeing Keith Moon play live on stage alone, would've been worth it.

Was it actually Woodstock, when they had to carry him off the stage?

I wounder if the rumor they recruited a drummer from the audience, is correct?

No I'm not quite old enough to have seen Stevie, sadly.
