Those bands made it by constant touring.

If you want the same thing now I suggest you quit moaning there's no good music, turn off your radio and get your ass down to a live venue and support what's playing there.

Yeah, local scenes too actually, didn't even cross my mind, but there's plenty of good local music everywhere. Especially the hardcore scenes around urban areas if you're into that.

I don't think he's aware of that.

Stop listening to the radio. Sit at your computer and look up bands for several hours. There is TONS AND TONS of good music today.

Personally, due to the sheer abundance of new music and range of sub genres upon sub genres, in today's music climate, there is something for everyone and thus I believe the present day is the best generation for music.
There's new innovative artists emerging all the time in every field of music, much more so than any other music period.

There's good and bad in every generation of music. If we're talking about the Top 40, I don't think it holds a candle to the stuff made 30 years ago or even 20 years ago. But there's room for everybody.

I think you mean, what happened to their influence!? It's there dude, just gotta look away from the mainstream, like everyone has been saying, it's out there, just gotta know where to look and you most certainly will not hear it on the radio...

I quite like it! Almost all of the music I have in my collection is from 2000+, with a few from the 90s.
