I still own the first 3 Sheryl Crow cds, I also don't skip most of the tunes if they come up randomly. Still have some PJ Harvey, and I actually own pretty much the entire Luscious Jackson discography (only missing a few singles).
Also quite liked Poe back in the late 90s but she was a bit more alternative than most singer songwriter types. This is probably her most straightforward 'singer songwriter' type tune - really like the key change and shift in mood / tone around 2:30 |

I like so many chick singers/songwriters that listing them seems pointless.
Basing one's musical taste on the sex of a singer makes no sense to me and I think that only truly malfunctioning dudes make this ridiculous distinction. |
