I just love how every coffee shop, video store, bars, and any other place you'd stay until closing starts to play really loud..."IT'S CLOSING TIME, you don't have to go home but you CAN"T STAY HEREEEEE"....I wonder if Semisonic is getting a nickel everytime someone's closing shop and plays that song?

Semisonic is from Minneapolis. I remember liking the album, but I never heard from them after that, amd I mpst definitely have lost the CD by now. I guess I was never interested enough to listen to the rest of their discography, but maybe I will have to give them a new listen.

This has surely turned into a TWO-hit wonder thread, but you know I'm cool with that. Reliving a lot of good memories here!

Remember this one from Gina G? I used to have the biggest crush on her! (This is probably yet another case of two hit wonder, or UK super star, but what the heck, I love this song)

Ooh Aah - Just a little bit - Gina G.

'Killing me Softly' was such a good song! Very moody and romantic.

AND...yes Kelli I think you're right. I seem to be stuck in the 90s right now. Every song from the 90s seems to be a one-hit wonder!

The Breeders - Cannonball

Dude, I think it's a tragedy that that dance has been forgotten. The song deserves death, but that dance was quality. Just about the only thing white people could actually dance to, myself included. Someone needs to bring it back, along with parachute pants and those tee shirts that stop at the midriff that men thought that they could wear for some strange reason.

Good songs, gonna have to disagree with you on Sugar Ray being a one-hit wonder though because....

Someday - Sugar Ray - YouTube

When It's Over - Sugar Ray - YouTube

Every Morning and Falls Apart were also really big hits where I live but I figured the two above songs might trigger some good memories ^^
