Conspiracy in Music - stolen songs, love triangles, murder, scandals

Some of Led Zeppelin's hits were ripped off from other people, and they failed to credit them. I still like Zeppelin though.

"Dazed and Confused", music originally done by Jake Holmes in 1967. Jimmy Page stole all the music.

There are others, like the intro to "Stairway to Heaven" was ripped from "Taurus" by Spirit:

I know that Zeppelin also stole "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" and only credited the original writer many, many years later after they were sued.

Another rip off I found was "Some Nights" by fun. Sounds exactly the same as Simon & Garfunkel's "Cecilia"

Burning Down, I did NOT know any of that. Very interesting! I guess it's easier to ask 'Who HASN'T stole their songs from someone else.'

My little heart is broken...I've heard Greenday and now the mighty Led Zeppelin are guilty of song snatching!

I'm gonna lay in a corner and cry!

I've always given zeppelin a hard time but they were still a great band. They could take all those songs and do it a hell of a lot better than the originals. They were great, just not the most creative.

hey this is the exact thread for that topic...we want to hear about any and all controversies...I should have included murder in the thread title....is there a way to edit the thread title?
