Cool Rezz.

In the meantime I don't think there's anything to stop us going forward with a theme, so let's see, something that hasn't been done before... hmmm... pets or animals maybe? Or maybe motorbikes? Who wants to choose from between those two? Or will I just make a decision? Course, it does depend on how many will join in.

This being Tuesday, I think what I may do is allow all of this week for the announcement that it's back to sink in, then take submissions over next week. That would give enough time for people who want to join in to, well, join in.

I'm open to other themes too so if you have one post it here and we'll see.

yeah just go with pets.

I think it works better with whoever is leading this just picking the theme and us working around it like how Rez did it.

Okey dokey then. Pets it is. To make it easier, let's say domestic animals (cats, dogs, birds, fish) but no wild animals (lions, tigers, bears oh my!) --- so your song does not have to mention an actual pet (but grand if it does) just an animal that could be one.

Start hitting me up then any time you're ready. As we have three or four (five, including me) interested already we should be good to go by the end of the week, so I'll aim to have the first mixtape up by say Monday morning?

Come on guys: if you want this resurrected it needs to be worth my while. Not a single contribution so far? I realise pets can be a hard topic (I can't think of many songs about pets to be honest) so let's say the song can just mention pets, or domestic animals: doesn't have to be titled as one or about one.

But I'm gong to need a minimum of five tracks plus mine, so six per mixtape. If I don't get this I'll just not bother. I've far too much other work to do. But I'd like to make this work, if only to thank Rezz for all his work on the original.

So if you're interested, I'll hold selection off till this coming Friday (unless I suddenly have a pile of tracks by midweek or whatever) and aim to publish the mixtape Sunday or Monday next. If you're not, it's no skin off my nose. If this is to work we need people to commit to it, otherwise it's just pointless and we'll have to sadly let it die.

Come on lads and ladies: your mixtape needs you!!
