Pretty much anything by The Delta Bombers...

They are mostly rockabilly, with a twist of blues, and some songs even have a bit of a Cajun flavor. More modern sounding than traditional rockabilly while still maintaining a bit of a vintage flare... I can't get enough...

"Mary Laveau's House of Voodoo"

"The Way You Love Me"

"Smokestack Lightning"

"Love Like You"

"Lock the Door"

Sometimes, when I'm in the used record shop or at a thrift store, I'll take a chance on a low-priced album that I'd heard about but never "heard". Many times it's a loss but once in awhile I find something that connects with me and I have a new avenue to explore in the world of music. Recent purchases that I enjoyed much included a Grateful Dead Dicks Picks (Oakland '79) live set, and this hard rock outfit called Airborne, found two CDs from them (No Guts, No Glory & Running Wild) that took a couple of repeated listens but caught on with me eventually...

Listening to a lot of the Breeders again lately. So deliciously 90's. I love how the Deal sisters can pull off NON-poseur girl-power rock. I particularly dig how the grunge comes through in this song, although I find all their work highly and consistently enjoyable.

Yeah I ended up just playing the first half of that album and it definitely didnt disappoint... Thanks for posting! I love the way Kim's vocals always pair with the music in an unpredictable but super harmonious way; creates a certain mood that I seem to seek a lot. Here's another fun one, love the abrupt changes in this one:

^^^My babies are diggin on this one right now.

It isn't Chistmas without some festive synthy Mannheim Steamroller. Takes me back to childhood. Here's a classic, love the progression ("Good King Wencesles")
