Have you actually heard any Stones boots from the 70s?

Not really, I only heard Got Live if You Want It, and Love You Live. In fact Got Live was one of the very first albums I owned. I think there is a spot during the concert band looses timing somewhere. Despite all the screaming I thought it was great album just cause of the energy they had playing live. Keith is self-depreciating at times about his guitar playing. If you know he messed up somewhere all I can say is he never said he was perfect.

Page has said that he could only play great approx. once every three shows.

It was the 70s man! There's some Hendrix boots that are down right embarrassing.
