I know that Viacom wants a steady flow of ratings and that the network is finding a way to do it with regular programming, plus I know it's inexpensive to make (although of course those videos you play have been GIVEN to you), but you're MUSIC Television. The Real World will flop!"

lol The Real World was a huge success though.

Also there are like five different MTV channels now and at least 3 of them play music videos constantly all day.

I'd probably try and cheer Ian Curtis up a bit. Maybe bring him ice cream or take him back to Nazi times for a visit.

I like New Order and all but I think it's a necessary evil getting rid of them to have Ian alive - the other three would have just manifested that talent in other ways. Hopefully Bizarre Love Triangle would still exist somehow.
I reckon the only reason I like the movie Control so much is because I like Joy Division so much, so it's an easy choice.
The real question is whether the music would be as good if he wasn't on the brink of suicide....I imagine not
