There has been a "gateway" album of sorts for basically every genre I listen to at all. A Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, The Queen is Dead, OK Computer, and Hospice were all pretty huge in getting me away from mainstream hard rock when I was a middle schooler.

First record I ever bought with my own money before that it was what ever my sister and dad listened two Snoop Zeppelin and Selena

but this record was the starting point for me

I went to a Black Sabbath concert around September 1972, but the opening act was all I could think about in the days that followed. I picked up the album they were touring, and the rest, as they say, is history

Off related note, that CD gives you a 'Naga' in Monster Rancher

I had that CD but i only remember the popular hits from it.

I loved dis record dis record was also the reason latter on I loved Hip hop and ELectronic music and EDM music

im not saying I was the only one but this was the record IMO that had a lot of kids my generation LOve both Heavy metal and Hip hop

back in the day to some Metal heads or INdie rockers that was Tabboo they would always say rap IS crap or something like that LOL

I didn't draw a rap influence from this album but it did make me more familiar with electronic music..

But i agree, this CD was very popular back then and it appealed to alot of ppl, rockers, rappers, etc, it didn't just appeal to ppl who love electronic music.

Also their videos were great and drawed in listeners.

I don't even know why I checked it out of the library that I found it in, but despite my taste basically revolving around Fall Out Boy and Muse (with the occasional listening of Dark Side of the Moon) at the time, I instantly fell in love with it (seriously. I didn't even get turned off by how noisy it was).
