Here's what I think:

Mondo: like the s ort of dark, oppressive texture in the piece but it's a little one-dimensional for me. Goes nowhere. Is this drone? I kept waiting for it to change but I couldn't hear it. Good though. Well done.

Plainview: Love this. Very ambient and reminds me of JMJ and Vangelis. Favourite so far.

Frown: Well what can I say? I'll never get your music, but I think you know that by now. Here's how "Concrete shoe boogie" sounded to me. I wander into a deserted factory for some reason. There's nobody around. It's completely empty and devoid of any human presence. Suddenly the quiet is broken by the roar of machines starting up. I get uneasy. As I walk deeper into the gloom my unease turns to disquiet and then fear, as more machines (instruments) join the sound. By the time that weird voice starts talking like something from Dr. Who or The Exorcist I've decided I'd rather take my chances on the street...

You say you don't get his music and then you go on this paragraph long rant about how intensely it made you feel. Like the music totally gave you this creepy dystopian vibe so it totally did effect you and on some level you totally got it.
Spoiler for pic:

My track is still slowly coming together...

Using Oceans Vibes in a water track? That's just cheating!
Seriously though, excited to hear. The others have been really interesting, both very intense.

Cheers! I was inspired by Vangelis actually, love his music, I used to really dig the stuff in Carl Sagan's Cosmos, as well as his albums with Jon Anderson. Glad you picked up on that!

Oh that's just what I named the sample. I didn't just take something called ocean vibes. I renamed it because I'm organizing everything lol. That is totally ocean vibes tho.

What I meant is that I can never enjoy his music or understand it as music. But yeah, I did kind of do a double-take after writing that: it obviously made me feel something. That has to be seen as progress I guess.

Oh man! Me too! That's where I heard Vangelis for the first time ("Alpha" and "Heaven and Hell") and I went straight out and bought his greatest hits. Have all his albums now. Love "The City", "Apocalypse des animaux", "1492", "Spiral", "Direct", "Oceanic" and a whole host more.

In case anyone was wondering what instrument I was playing for my track.
