Hey, Jars of Clay may be Christian, but they are a good live band. You can't deny that.

And they have a good amount of good tunes as well.

This comes from a guy that dislikes many of the popular Christian bands... Popular only because they are talking about god. Not because the music is good.

first concert I really remember is Radiohead, the first time I saw them, though i have vague memories of seeing Semisonic with my sister back in the day...

Best concert, Either Electric Six or Presidents of the USA. Both gigs were quite small and totally electric, had an awesome time.

First: Graham Nash/David Crosby and opening act David Blue

Sigh...I was young and naive. That was my first concert seeing a group that toured on a national level. My first ever popular music concert featuring a local/regional act was The Torques (pronounced tor-KAYS), from Lexington, Kentucky. I was in grade school at the time. My older sister was going out with one of the guys in the band. They did make at stab at wider success but didn't get very far. They have a song on Youtube called Merry Maker that is worth a listen.

Best: Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds on their first American tour, 1984. As good as their debut album was, the show was very different and much, much better.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

First: Bon Jovi opened up for The Scorpions in 1984. We waited outside until the herds of feathered hair sprayed women let out, then we went in. The sound in the Rosemont Horizon was ****ing terrible, so we couldn't understand anything Claus said and the music was muddied up real bad. It was funny though because I thought I caught Claus trolling the crowd when he uttered what I thought was gibberish and the crowd cheered and he looked at Mathias and laughed. lol "They'll ****ing cheer at anything I say!".

Best: Jeff Beck w/Johnny Lang on Jeff's "Who Else" tour. I got tickets for my birthday and they were for 30th row center, right in front of the sound guy. It made for one of the most magical performances I've ever witnessed, narrowly beating out seeing Jeff with SRV a few months before he passed. We had nose bleed seats for that, but it was still an incredible show.
