Music is a sonic medium that sends a message. I wouldn't consider a speech music, or a poem music, but if it's noise that is created to be intended to be music, then it's music. If you drop a pan and ended up recording it, and then decide to sell it as music, it's not music. If you're dropping pans with the purpose of getting a message across, then it's music.

I wouldn't blindly buy it, but I wouldn't dismiss it because of it's concept and give it a try. I think I actually do have several albums along the lines of trashcan-banging and top-of-the-lung-screaming, although to my knowledge no felines were involved.:)
