Funny thing is, in another twenty years, classic rock is gonna be Jay-Z, since most of the unimaginative drones who decide what is classic rock nowadays are gonna be the people who listened to more mainstream hip hop than they did mainstream rock.

Nah, for the most part they're musically illiterate enough to think they know everything. For me to call you a snob, you have to have at least some musical knowledge worth respecting.

I know that you'd NEVER hear a Black Sabbath song on the radio back in the 80's, but now you hear War Pigs, Paranoid, Sweet Leaf, and others every once in a while, which is just fine by me.

Its worse than that: I heard a Muzak version of Paranoid not too long ago...

I can only describe the experience of listening to it as "surreal"......
