Radio is just a mind control agent developed by the government in the 1920s to subliminally promote propaganda. Everyone knows that.

Unless you listen to the radio of course. They've programmed you into thinking this concept is crazy.

I would have to completely disagree on Antlers being close in style to any of these bands. As a solo act with just Peter it was mainly bedroom folk and then Hospice saw the beginning of a shift that was eventually realized over the course of the next few albums into dream pop territory. If anything The Antlers have been pretty unique. In The Attic of the Universe is such a good and original album.

Also This Will Destroy You and Sigur Ros are not alike at all IMO.

Idk. People always reference Loveless by My Bloody Valentine as the quintessential shoegaze album but I've always thought Deathconsciousness blew it out of the water. Earthmover, the climax of the album, is easily one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard, easily one of the most heart wrenching things, heartbreaking in a way only the man behind Giles Corey is capable of.

Deathconsciousness? What? I never saw that as post-rock influenced, but I guess I haven't listened to that album in awhile either. You guys sure are throwing that term around a lot. Maybe the genre just shares characteristics found in a lot of other genres or music in general, I dunno.

I like 'em. Good music to listen to when I'm pissed or energetic. I don't listen to it much outside of that, though.

You should invest in a Hamm radio. When those things get going it can get pretty intense.

Seconding get a hamm, vastly entertaining.

The only decent station I get is a smooth jazz channel or two. The rock and metal programs are sometimes good in the midnight hours, but mainly just ****. I need Sirius.
