My #1 favorite band 5 years ago, Radiohead, probably wouldn't even break my top 100 anymore
The majority of my favorites have been the same for at least 30 years. Of course, I've added some newer artists and new discoveries, and some of the rankings change a bit, but my tastes don't change so much that a top 10 artist would move past #100, and they never change so that an artist I used to love I no longer love.

Well I haven't even lived thirty years lol, a whole lot of things changed about me in the 16-21 stretch, including my music taste

Yeah, that seems to happen with a lot of folks, but it's difficult for me to imagine what it would be like. My tastes have only broadened over the years. I don't stop liking things I liked, and I tend to like them even more over time. When I listen to artists I loved when I was 10, say, which was the early 70s for me, I appreciate them even more now. Heck, when I watch something like a Scooby-Doo cartoon from when I was a kid now I appreciate it even more.

I have to say it, but I really wished the OP used Last.FM. It would be much better to compare and contrast in a nutshell.

I'll add my two cents anyways, cause I went out of my way to read through the list.
The only band that stands out to me is Nightwish, no other bands on the list similar to it, so I guess we have very low compatibility.

What, no ____ or _____ or ____ ____ either? What kind of a "Best 1000" list is that?

I don't think I could make a top 1000 list. Seems a bit diluted.

You've changed Bob..
