It's not evilly bad, but I just don't care about it and have no strong opinions. Even St. Anger evokes opinions in me. If they cut half the album it would be a relatively strong alt metal album, but I can't think of how Death Magnetic could ever be anything more than a boring summation of everything Metallica had ever done that I didn't care about.

Yeah, St. Anger is allright. All the songs are too long and sort of run themselves into the ground before the next song starts. With some editing, it would be a decent album. Death Magnetic is just boring. I seriously listened to it like 50 times over several years and I just couldn't believe how I felt absolutely nothing... nothing at all.

People like St Anger but don't like Death Magnetic. This isn't right.

All 4 of those albums suck, why are even debating it?

Do you like any Metallica? I've only been here for 317 posts, so I can't remember.

Yes it is. You just have bad taste.

Because it's amazing how you can defend St. Anger but not anything they've released after.
