Why did you fix the grammar when you sigg'd it? Were you not being sarcastic in complimenting such a generic statement? Were you actually impressed by a sentiment that often appears in every third n00b's intro post?

Shut up, that's why.

I didn't want a quote that made no grammatical sense but I like the sentiment and it reflects how I feel too. I tried to note that I had changed it slightly to make it grammatically correct, but that took it over the mcc so I had to leave it as it was.

That alright with you?

It's alright with me if you wanna have a boring sig. I mean, who knows how many people might be inspired by such an original and distinguished quote? Like, at least two people, right?

OK, it's not grammatical correct cause I proof read it, then I didn't proof read it. I kinda write something then I proof read it, then I decide to change something around and forget to delete what I meant to replace. So proof reading for me is a Catch 22. The more I proof read the more I have to proof.

Everyone slips up on the ol' grammar once in a while, it's no problem. I just think there's little point in enshrining that mistake in your sig, unless you're making fun of the person or making a point, neither of which I'm doing.

And I don't intend to inspire anyone anyway. It's more a statement that I happen to agree with and espouse.

I mean, I get in musical ruts at points when I don't find what I'm listening to to grab me as much, but I recently came to the conclusion that I've been doing it wrong. Some albums are meant to be listened to through different means; with headphones or with stereo, in a certain mood, at a certain time of day, in different settings, etc. It may not be the same with you, but music to me is very much dynamic. Bands I stopped listening to long ago I eventually stumble up upon later and find it fresh, while others need a little more time.

Something else helpful I've found is to not listen to much similar sounding music in any given time period, you'll eventually grow old of it. You're gonna need a break. Try to mix it up as much as possible, broaden your tastes a little.

Everyone listens to music a little differently, find out what works for you. It just doesn't seem worth it to throw out that many GBs of music.

If it's any condolence, I quite enjoy it. That's one down then.

I find that when I was younger, I was more likely to enjoy music from a more diverse set of styles.. It would be often that I found a song from completely different realms of sound and be able to say, "Hey, I can appreciate that.."..
Now a days I've noticed that I just feel like "I like what I like".. My favourite styles are almost ingrained in me and I resort to the same styles again and again. Every now and then I'll find a new artist or an artist I never knew about who blows my mind, but again it's usually within the scope of genres that I already like. I'm in to jazz/hiphop/rnb/neo-soul/classical.. I'm always hoping to find a gem within a genre that I'm not normally listening to. Now that I think about it, I could be more open to exploring artists from other styles.. But the heart wants what the heart wants..
