Hell yeah! One of my all time favourite bass players. That tone...
And even people who know him are often unaware of his work outside of Japan.

I'm not intimately familiar with this forum's most popular groups yet, but I have yet to see anyone mention Satanicpornocultshop, Submatukana, Unexpect, Tarmvred, and Thought Industry. I can't recommend their music enough.

David Sylvian is going to be one of those guys that's gonna sell millions more after he dies than during his life. Just like Bowie, he has such a magnificent body of work behind him that has crossed multiple genres. Just watch 'em

....yeah. Kinda sad if that turns out to be the case. :p:

Interestingly enough, I remembered recently that Sylvian and Bowie did "work" together in a sense back in the early 80's. Sylvian sang the main theme from Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence, which Bowie starred in.

Mamas and the Papas

They're nice, but it's been years since I've listened to them. Their harmonies are up there with the best of them.

On that note,

The Beach Boys, Simon and Garfunkel, and Beatles would have been **** without this inspiration.

(Buddy Holly gets special nods too)
