I've discovered a lot of music here. I'm not sure it's altered my taste but I've learned a ton.

^Nice. Wouldn't have expected Zorn and Death Grips there.
Which of Zorn's bands/projects/albums do you dig?

Checked out a lot but found nothing new I liked so far. In my defence, I've only been here for barely half a year. Maybe this board will turn me on to some progressive rock that isn't really silly and weak (it must exist!). I'm looking forward to actually being inspired eventually

Since there are around 1000 albums Zorn has been involved with, I'm gonna refrain from getting into a reccing frenzy. I'd never stop.
But if you like The Dreamers, you should check out the Masada album they did.
It's called "Ipos: Book Of Angels Volume 14". Probably their best.

Also check out some Bar Kokhba (featuring Marc Ribot on guitar as well):

Have you tried asking in the prog rock recommendation thread? We might be able to help you.
