If I were to kill myself to any song, my first choice would be this. It made me so emotional the first time I heard it that I cried the entire time it was on.

I put a bullet in my head, and I'm gone, gone, gone...

If I wanted to die with something that actually sounds slower...

He put that bottle to his head and pulled the trigger.

It's a good thing I don't want to die, though.

That Brad Paisley song... I didn't even know who that guy was until a couple weeks ago. My friends and I like to sit around on Sunday night at my place, have some drinks, turn on the faerie lights, and share music. I'll play something, then someone else will jump up with an answer. It's great fun. One of my friends has great taste in music--obscure prog, classic stuff. And then my other friend pops up and plays that damn whiskey song by Brad Paisley. It ruined the night, and we felt like killing ourselves.

I had a cousin who committed suicide and in his final note, demanded Frank Sinatra's "I did it my way" be played over and over at his funeral. Made my grandmother really mad (although she never really was a big Frank Sinatra fan to begin with).

Are you willing to share more about your uncle setting himself on fire?

sure

he was really in love with some girl, she loved him back, her family didn't like him because he came across as very depressed and lazy basically he could never get a job so they were like no you're not marrying our daughter and i wouldn't say that was why he set himself on fire, i suppose that was just the last straw

he was like 21 or 22 at the time, i'm not sure
