Bledning punk with rockabilly, ska, and reggae, while pioneering new wave, not to meantion taking an extremely more ARTISTIC turn from their previous two albums. Not to mention, punk as a scene and genre was practically two years old, so the genre was still being formed during their early days. I've heard the album plenty of times. It's more artsy than Television. Or what is your definition of art punk?

Maybe. I';d say the big four of grunge and prog came later, but then again, most of the big four of prog have been around since the 60's.

Making art is artistic

>All music is art

>Punk is music

>All punk is art punk

My point. Art punk is defined anyway people want it. I define art punk s an unclasified way to experiment with the punk sound without tags that are more akin to new wave, hardcore, or any other punk subgenre. It's exactly the same reason I label things art rock. In my opinion, it's art punk. Maybe the whole/majority of their discography doesn't fit that bill, but London Calling sure as hell does.

Bongripper, Thou, and AC/DC aren't punk... and it's big four, not big 5.

It;s okay, he hangs out in the Rap section. We'll let him off easy... this time.

I don't know those two. So I wasn't going to comment on them.

Edit: I just listened to them. They are not.
