I'm just looking for anything that doesn't fall under atheistic, overly bloody/gory or satanic. Agnostic is fine. I've already heard 3 Death albums, Unqestionable Presence which was surprisingly agnostic given the band's name, and Cynic. To be honest, regular DM and technical DM aren't as heavy as I thought it would be, so I ended up liking it. That Gorguts album is on my list. It was actually going to be the first one I play.

Of course, right now I'm trying to get through those Depeche Mode albums I've already heard and probably play Songs of Love and Devotion. I'm thinking Depeche Mode might already be my number 3, which gives me much more time to get the fourth vote decided. I'm weighing my decision between Kraftwerk, Pet Shop Boys, and Tears for Fears.

I couldn't tell you, I only listen for lyrics in folk and hip hop. Hopefully you enjoy that Gorguts album, it's difficult but it's some of the best metal ever made.

No death metal with atheism, gore, or Satan? You have heard of death metal, right? Well, whatever, here's Mortification. They're pretty cool and also Christian.

Yes I have heard of death metal. I've also heard 3 Death albums, one Athiest album, and one Cynic album that all fit the bill.

Thanks for the rec, though. I hear their second album's their best.

I'm just sayin', you're never going to be able to explore death metal (or black metal for the most part) if you insist on not listening to anything that might give God constipation. You actually might as well skip to grindcore. Most grindcore's pretty evil-free.
