"Art music" is a particularly $h|^ name in my opinion.

Universities call it, or at least used to call it, "legit" music, which is even more pretentiously ridiculous. My theory/comp degrees were dual degrees in both "legit" and jazz. I never call it "legit." Calling it that seems embarrassing to me.

"Classical" works well enough. "There's a Classical period of classical music"--the distinction between the two uses of the terms, even without the convention of capitalizing the period but not capitalizing the overall genre, is almost always clear contextually.

We've got til the end of the day before we decide the next round. So far, we've got classical and country for suggestions. I personally like both.
