The Album Club 2017

Suggestion: just putting this out there. How do you guys feel about closing off membership now, at least, as regards picking an album? We have like 23 members now, which means we all get to pick an album about twice a year. If we add more and more members, that list is gonna get longer and therefore our turns will become much less frequent even than they are now. So maybe we let others join if they want, but they can't pick an album, at least for the first round, or else we put up the FULL UP sign? Whatchaz think?

Make a post inviting any members to chime in within five days or whatever and assure us that they are down with the thread. If they don't then they get skipped for a rec the next round.

If I can find my way through your rather innovative use of English there, are you saying set a deadline for new members to join, as in, five days from now? I'm not sure my copy of the Batlord to English dictionary is current, so I may have got that wrong.

I think he's saying to give us a period of five days to pick an album.

What? I don't understand. I'm asking if we close off the album club membership. It has nothing to do with how long people take to pick albums? Huh?

OK, that would make more sense. But it still doesn't address my "do we let new members in or not" question.

I think you should allow people to join and let people flow in and out organically.
