I can't decide if that album cover is cute in a good way or a bad way.

I've got an uncle that insists The Moody Blues are the greatest thing ever. Maybe I should actually try and find out if he's right. Is that album any good?

I have to admit I'm not a big fan, but I found that album pretty damn boring. INB4 Batty with if Trollheart finds it boring, then it must be really bad.

Ok, then I'm going with whatever their most famous album is if I decide to give it them a chance. That's the great thing about Youtube; just start writing a band name and their top song pops up. Whatever that is from, that's the album I'll go with.

Plus, listening to another album will keep me off whatever FBI list the album above would get me on.

I always just go to RYM and see which album has the most ratings/reviews, which in this case is Days of Future Passed.

I'm still not really using RYM. I've been used to a bunch of other methods of finding music. It seems pretty useful, actually.

I'll go with that album then. It has been decided. What an odd looking cover.

To be perfectly honest, you should do what I did: check out the Greatest Hits package. You surely know "Nights in White Satin", and all the other hits are there. It's a decent album. DoFP is good, so is To Our Children's Children's Children, but I'm not really any more familiar with their work than that. I believe Neapolitan is a big fan of theirs; he might be able to steer you in the right direction.

My next rec:

The dB's - Stands for Decibels

My favorite Moody Blues record is In Search of the Lost Chord.

MicShazam 08-13-2017 01:27 AM

There are some good suggestions here, so I've got plenty to start on.

Psy-Fi, can you give me your next album for the queue please? You're up after Frownland, ie in two weeks. Thanks.

Anyone else who has not yet submitted an album, and wants to, please let me know.

Similarly, anyone who wants out of this now please also let me know: I see general participation falling off badly, so rather than just stay here kicking your heels, if you'd rather be somewhere else turn in your Krusty Badge now and I'll take you off the list. Nobody should be here who doesn't want to be.

Except me.
