I like Everybody Hurts...:shycouch:

How about The Clash for London Calling or Rock the Cashba (sp?)
|
Replace London Calling with Should I Stay or Should I Go and I agree with you.

Really? It's one of my favorites on that album. Probably #5 or #6.
|
Even if it's that high for you, it's still over rated but I see your point, I'm not too keen of "SISOSIG" either.
|
I absolutely abhor a lot of the Stones' most popular songs (Satisfaction, Paint It Black among others) but I otherwise enjoy the albums they're on.
|
I think London Calling is pretty overrated its self, I strongly perfer their debut.

I like all of those Clash songs...
:shycouch: But definitely agree that they are not the band's best. |

Was #2 song of all-time I think on the Rolling Stone list and it's not one of there 30 best in my opinion. |

Agreed, but... This thread seems to be turning into a "this song is overrated" discussion. Let's be honest. As overplayed and mediocre/awful/merely good as some Stones songs may be (Paint It Black, Brown Sugar, Sympathy, Mother's Little Helper), they're far better than the crap they released on Dirty Work, Undercover, Black & Blue, etc. And whatever you think of Should I Stay or Casbah or London Calling, the Clash have released stuff that's far worse. Even closet Sandanista! or Combat Rock fans will admit that there's some pretty lame stuff between those albums. I'd love to nominate Hey Jude, but I can easily think of dozens of Beatles songs that are far worse. |
Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast
ugh - _ - |
I agree very much regarding Owner of a Lonely Heart ..
I'd also like to mention "Isn't She Lovely" by Stevie Wonder. I never liked that song. edit : Quote:

Why are people picking songs by bands that aren't their most well known, which aren't even there worst?
Can't any thread stay on topic? |

I feel that they twisted popular perception about them so that people believed they were first in encyclopaedias. Don't trust aardvarks myself.
Lol. |

Venus and Bacchus by Saetia is definatley not their best song, and it's the one everybody knows. On topic enough?
|
I disagree, it's probably my favorite Saetia song, despite its popularity.
Although "The Burden Of Reflecting" and "Postlapsaria" are up there. Now that I think about it, don't really know which song I like best. |
It's not their worst song by any means, but thanks to it being a free download it makes it their most popular when "Postlapasaria", "Some Natures Catch No Plagues" and "The Poet You never Were" are so much more deserving.

Some Natures Catch No Plagues is without a doubt Saetia's most popular song. It's pretty dumb to argue otherwise, it's not their worst either but it's up there.

Buckethead - Jordan
|
Quote:
He's such an amazingly productive artist. There's so much to choose from. Why did they put Jordan in GH3? |
Quote:
toretorden: First, it was in GH2. And second, he specifically recorded the song for Guitar Hero. |
Led Zeppelin's worst song isn't Stairway to Heaven, but by god its mystique is totally ****ing undeserved.
Every song by KISS. For some reason, every person I've met who doesn't know like any Beatles song associates them with Yellow Submarine and that pisses me off since I hate Yellow Submarine. The only song by The Eagles I like is Desperado, and that's only a semi-like, but I despise Hotel California. Rolling Stone seems to think Heroes is David Bowie's best song. I don't like Heroes. Satisfaction is a mediocre song TBH. Let it Loose is my favorite Rolling Stones song. All I can think of for now. |

Prefab Sprout's 'King of Rock and Roll'. Eughh.

Anyways, not all of Buckethead's stuff is easily accessible. I guess my tastes might be a little different from his. ;) I'm also not a big fan of his Nottingham Lace which seems to be a popular one with fans. I do like songs like Soothsayer (very much!) and Final Wars (from Crime Slunk Scene and The Elephant Man's Alarm Clock respectively). |
Stairway to Heaven. It's probably not Led Zeppelin's worst, but I really really don't like it.

Thin Lizzy - The Boys Are Back In Town.
Average song, nothing spec, plenty of better Lizzy songs. |
REM - Everybody Hurts.. already mentioned, but awful
Rolling Stones - Satisfaction... painful. |
Already mentioned but what exactly is good about Black Sabbath's paranoid??
