I was talking about the artist. With Christian Rock, their purpose is to spread the good news and the music is just a vehicle for doing that. Because of that the music suffers.

Back in military school we all hated spending an hour or more every Saturday doing drill (marching practice), and the extra drill whenever we were about to do a parade, but when when we nailed it with the drumming cadences and military branch anthems it was satisfying even though none of us would ever admit it. It's a pretty insidious form indoctrination.

R&B does get abnormally boring. Definetely a genre where anything even remotely within reach of the mainstream is almost guaranteed to be repetitive garbage.
