Ah yes that boring, undynamic drone music.

I think the Lou Reed album will give me a headache if I continue listening to it. The two top ones just bored me after a while. However... not entirely opposed to the Henry Flynt thing. I like the way it sounds, which is a good starting point.

Which backpackers are you talking about specifically?

Necro. A lot of Immortal Technique sadly. People along that line. I can't remember too many other names because I never cared to look up the artists of boring songs. I like El P, Aesop Rock, Cage, Sadistik, Idea, people like that even though some of them kind of follow the same tropes, but they know how to keep it interesting. I think older Aesop Rock definitely fits. He had a lot of interesting beats but I think the over all lack of proper mixing and mastering kind of ruined any bit of potential I heard. Made it boring. Or old school Wrekonize because he was a huge back packer before he became the more poppy singy Wrekonize of Mayday.

Pop.... Unless you find extreme irritation exciting!

I'm not particularly familiar with Flynt's work but what I have heard of his has fascinated me. Kind of in the middle of noise music and "minimalism", sometimes being really screechy violin stuff which is fun and other times being soothing drone stuff, it's cool!

Don't you realise that Varg burning down churches IS him making music? Have you never listened to The Burning of Our Lady of Mercy, 29 Sulferstrasse? It's pure expressionism in its most savage form, man!

Oh, and emo.
Whine whine whine, life is so hard, I hate everyone, buy my music.
**** off.

Frownland 06-25-2017 01:39 PM

Nah, emo is incredibly dynamic as a genre, even though people equate it to sad pop punk.
