Nope, that depends on the artist.
You can list genres here you like so little they're boring to you, but also genres that just are pretty damn unexciting even if they can be well done and enjoyable in the right mood.

It's the ****ing best.

Too bad post-hardcore got ruined by modern metalcore, noodly indie/math/emo guitars and all aggression being left to screamo bands. It's odd how the most influential post hc bands all have a hardcore punk sound yet what I get when I look up more is usually indie bull**** or scene kid poppy metalcore. Why that direction, Ian. Why Ian.

I certainly have no interest in them.

Why the **** would I care about that? I could show you my favourite record and you would think it was boring. Grow the **** up pal.

So do you think a genre can be bad without being boring? Just asking since that term really doesn't apply to emo music at all because of how much variety there is to the genre, even if I'm not a fan of a lot of it.

Yes. If it's supposed to be rather exciting but poorly written and or executed, then sure. It might also be very interesting in complex writing and technique that keeps it from being boring, but it's not a very good piece anyways.

I guess it's possible, but for me music being boring is general what makes it bad.

I think a genre can be bad but at least stand out in some way. Take crunkcore for example. For me boring music is music which is so inoffensive and so bland that it fades into the background.
