Same time as it became the "Qwertyy realizes some of his taste sucks thread".

I like the Deftones song Knife Party a heck of a lot, but otherwise not really a band I'm too excited about. Small doses work well for me.

I see a lot of what has influenced my favorite band, Dir En Grey, in that Deftones song.
That probably means Frownland would hate Dir En Grey too.
In fact I suspect most people in here would hate them.

I find them a pretty boring band though. Their debut was so disappointing to me since they had these great melodies and this great aesthetic, but at the same time, the singer was just a really weak version of a young King Diamond, without any of the vocal power. I wanted to like Ghost, but they fell flat from the start for me.

Their other albums just moved even further away from what little I liked about them in the first place.

Yeah **** Ghost for exactly the same reasons. It's like dad metal.

I used to love that album, but now they're likewise dull as ****. And all their other albums are even worse. I can still dig "Rays on Pinion" though.

Staind is possibly even more dull than Nickelback and Creed.

Devin Townsend's various projects are always frustrating to me.
I love his voice, hate his production style and find his compositions to sit somewhere in between.
