Wait, are you saying that those are boring songs? On'ry, Townes, and Willie rule.

I just didn't listen to that track and don't want to put my stamp of approval on it.

More excellent country:

I'm not about to stop listening to YOB for that.

I mean I understand, but she's got a very solid discography. Way better than you'd ever expect from a 70s country artist who should by all rights be living entirely on singles.

Point of fact, I'm not a huge Beethoven or Mozart fan, though I do love "Moonlight Sonata": I'm more a Grieg/Elgar/Liszt/Rachmaninoff/Rimsky-Kosakov/Tchaikovsky sort of dude. But I can't deny the majesty of their music. I only posted those because I couldn't believe someone had heard Ludwig and Wolfie and didn't like them. I have no idea what you mean about sterile renditions; like Mic I'm no expert either on music or on classical music, so maybe you're right, but the men were both prodigies and genius.

As for country, have some Dwight.

I feel like Bach is pretty undeniably great in that sense. Great performers like Glen Gould help though.

Oh, ok. So if I understand you you were talking about how the music is interpreted, rather than how it was written? That would make more sense, as I don't think anyone could call Beethoven or Mozart sterile per se.

I've always liked that Kris Kristofferson one since my real name is (unfortunately) Casey.

Btw Bat you should start listening to Wanda Jackson and Kitty Wells if you haven't yet.
