Nah Mike is right. You should only experiment if you know that it's going to be successful.

I'm not saying you shouldn't try. But you'll of course have to accept a misfire here and there.

And yeah St. Anger was definitely a misfire, but there's an album in there that's legit unique and could have been cool if quality control had done its job and someone had punched James in the face and told him to either sing like a smart person or get another singer.

I doubt I'd ever be able to say anything so generous about the album you wish they'd made. The best I could have said was, "Well it had some catchy songs". TBH I'd rather listen to St. Anger over anything Megadeth has done since Risk. At least St. Anger has some kind of vitality to it. It sounds like the people involved care about something.

I like the title track of St. Anger and a few segments of songs here and there, but oh man is there a lot of bloat. I could cut 3 minutes off most of those songs and lose nothing of value. I had a re-cut of one of the tracks that I did myself, but I don't know where it is now. I cut Sweet Amber or some other song down by 3 minutes or so and I liked the result way better.

You guys need to stay far away from the "Come To Me" album. The artist who sings it is OK overall, but this song is ear rape, especially towards the end of the song where she sounded like a choo-choo train. Just hearing the full version of the song for ten minutes sounds like torture.

Is this reverse psychology spamming? Sounds like a new frontier for Frown.
