Close, but no Wilson. I like him and all but definitely not in the top ten even. AOR, yes, but what band? Try again? Coin detected in pocket...

Very close, but I think Waits would beat out Gallagher, though I do love him.
Otherwise, spot on.

I don't think I've ever heard about that Rory Gallagher person, so I would have never guessed that. Not that it was right anyway.
Wouldn't have guessed Maiden. I thought all things metal were more of an experiment for you yet.

Maiden were my first ever metal band, and after them I got into the likes of Motorhead, Saxon, Tygers of Pan-Tang, Diamond Head and the English bands, mostly from the NWOBHM era. I was never that much into the American bands, hence my lack of experience in thrash metal and other extreme metal. In the last few years (mostly through the Metal Month specials in my journal and with Batty's help) I branched out into everything from doom to black metal, and even a little avant-garde (which I hated), but no, I'm no metal virgin, as such.

Replace Patton with Zorn, I believe. Maybe Shabbaz? No, he rides Zorn's dick so hard it must hurt.

Zu - reps experimental and metal
Beefheart -obvious
Albert Ayler- early free jazz
Moor Mother - more so than ShP or Billy Woods because of the stark innovation

Frownland 10-18-2017 08:22 AM

Time will tell who wins out between Moor Mother and Shabazz.

Pretty much but I'd take Carly off and put in The Fall. I don't talk about that kind of music as much these days but it would be a better representation of my tastes.

Trade Neurosis for Miles and Nilsson for Kraftwerk?

Thank you for actually remembering Manowar. I guess it's just been too long since I dickrode them. I do have an entire journal dedicated to them though. Girlschool is kind of arbitrary though tbh even if I do dig them.
