No, more like Avant-/ArtPop. Once they joined forces with Henry Cow for Desperate Straits though, after which they became part of Henry Cow, out of which then the Art Bears were born, they were firmly AvantProg/RIO.

Damn. Now I have to make it my mission to change your mind. Let's see; you like female singers but probably hate Marillion. Here's the best of both. No chance you'll like this of course but just so I can range in on your tastes.
Also, I feel a thread coming on: "Get MicShazam Into Prog Rock!"

I'll check out the above track when I'm home later some time. Can't listen to music where I'm at right now.

Don't forget that I did buy a Marillion album and even ended up liking it. We had an exchange about the band some months ago. It was the Marillion.com album.

Prog is so varied that only some douchebag hipster poser hater like Elph could just dismiss all of it.
All hail Prog!
(Progmetal mostly sucks though.)

Sure. Two guitars. And not a keyboard, cello, flute or violin in sight! More like douchester indie rock, right?

"Oh man, my father don't understand me! He crucifies me! Why do I have to die for their sins? All I want to do is party and turn water into wine, is that so much to ask for? Why oh why am I in this eternal Gethsemane?"

Do you differentiate prog rock from progressive rock like I do?

I don't think that you tried very hard.

Maybe it's psychological projection.
