Of course "serious" magazines and bull**** judgements by the comitee (Rolling Stone and others) media only pick up music to depress like indie, grunge, punk, etc

Also, punk? Depressive? Surely the most energetic music you can think of?

For me the late 80s/early 90s were a great time to be a metal fan. Also Bon Jovi's "Slippery When Wet" made a huge impact on me. I was deeply into it in my teens, lived the sex ,drugs and rock and roll lifestyle during those years with metal being the soundtrack of said years.
Listen, I love Bon Jovi, but in no way, shape or form are they metal. Hard rock at best, pop rock in reality.

Nick's son comes to him asking for advice about some legitimate struggles in his life.
Nick nods and posts a youtube clip of some hair band.

Still going on about whippersnapper music? How much is there to even say? I get that Imagine Dragons sucks, but it kind of sounds like you're into some dad rock too, bro. Join a support group if you need to be reassured that modern lifestyles suck.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Kids listen to different music now than when I was young. I'm scared. Hold me.

Let's be honest, what made this thread fun was our responses to him. Now we're just going in circles like him.

Yeah I know. It's just this idea he has that "all metal is this or that" and "kids are being forced to listen to crap by the evil MTV etc" just bloody well angers me. I won't be responding any more though (unless he actually responds to my posts): it just isn't worth it. My blood pressure is sky high.
