They all contribute to the songwriting, they've all been there for all the albums (up to the point when Richie Sambora left) and they don't play with other bands, so they're not session musicians. You obviously know nothing about Bon Jovi. As for using his name for their band, plenty of others have done this. It doesn't mean they're not a band. As for harder, tougher songs, do yourself a favour and listen to These Days. About as dark as it can get with Bon Jovi. I'm going to take a leap here and say that all you've ever heard from the band is their hits. Everyone here bar me hates them, but that doesn't mean ****. Listen to their albums and then see if you can repeat what you're saying here, ignorant and ill-researched as it is.

Must... resist ... sigging!

You mean, onesie.

This has to be a Rickroll, this has to be a Rickroll....
I do know a decent amount about Bon Jovi actually. I know that Richie Sambora and the rest of the band have been there since the beginning. I didn't really know about who wrote the songs in the band. But I still think that it's all just about Jon Bonjovi. He's the focus of all the attention and all the other guys are totally replaceable. But anyway that's how most bands are anyway.
