Default Rogue MB Classics: Digital Stimulation

Digital Stimulation by The Units, as requested by the inimitable Polly.

I actually haven't heard this one yet, but I trust Polly's taste, and I'll listen to and rate it later today. Discogs says New Wave. Hard instantly.

Oh ****, just listened to it and it's actually great. Top notch catchy synth work, and the voxs remind me of Devo. Good pick, Polly. 10/10

Promise not to crucify me if I give your albums less than a ten?

Give it whatever you feel it deserves.

@MicShazam Did you listen to the album? Polly recs are not to be missed.

It's just that I have a high threshold. I mean there's Sergeant Pepper and then there is Philosophy of the World. Anyway, I'm giving this a six (so far anyway, still listening). It starts off like Devo like you said. Then again, only Devo can really be Devo and even then I'd only give one ten to them (for Are We Not Men). Anyway, it's listenable to be sure. Yeah, I'd put it in my collection.

I'll donate a rec later. You're sure either to like it or hate it

Maybe my 10/10 was generous, but it just really hit the spot with me. Fun voxs and sharp synths make my balls tingle. Could really see myself coming back to this regularly.

Tbh, I feel like Q: Are We Not Men? has like three songs (Uncontrollable Urge, Satisfaction, and Mongoloid) that are immortal 10s, but the rest I really have to be in the mood for.

Okay, here it is. These remind me a little of B-52's wannabees. They were from LA. Anyway...

Nervus Rex (1980)

I'm gonna relisten to Q: Are We Not Men? later today. It's been awhile, and I wanna see if my opinion of it changes.
