I have a couple of approaches in mind.
If I’m feeling the extra quick approach,
I’d probably start with one of a couple
hundred boxes - separate the must-haves
and take the others down to Half Price Books.
If I go for the slightly more leisurely pace,
then the “others” could be separated into
Discogs or eBay worthy items. We’ll see.

I'm going to just guess you're sitting on a gold mine. Ebay is absolutely what I'd do in your place.

Well, maybe. Yes, most of what I have was never really popular
because I’ve never felt the need to buy something if you can
just turn the radio on to hear it, so I don’t know how that
translates to “gold mine” status, but there is no reason,
for example to have all three LP, CD, and cassette versions
of “The Well-Tuned Piano” when just one will do.
I’ve been on eBay since March of ‘99 and there’s been some
good moments, but as I get older, the thought of having to
mail thousands of packages seems to become more distant.
Space is more the problem these days rather than money.

Preparing for a move and need to thin out my DVD collection. A purge of sorts.

After an hour of going through my collection I finally found the first casualty.

Not sure why I own it. I mean it’s a fûcking fascinating documentary, but it’s not exactly something you’d feel the need to watch more than once.

Just got rid of Steve Reich and Terry Riley. I'm just not smart enough to enjoy this music.

Steve Reich can get old but Big Daddy Terry is awesome. Have you heard this?
