Either way it’s a cool record. One song was like really soulful.

Was it "She Shot a Hole in My Soul"? Yeah, I like that song too. John Fred was known for his soulful singing.

WWWP:
Once again bending the rules a bit (with ten bands, eleven albums). I thought I thrown in Tiger Trap and Moenie And Kitchi being favorites of mine I hope you like them too. The rest of the list is guess work. I feel rather amiss not really knowing how much you would like any of these album.

  4. Yo La Tengo ‎– And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside-Out (2000)
  5. of Montreal ‎– Coquelicot Asleep In The Poppies: A Variety Of Whimsical Verse (2001)

This is great! Yo La Tengo, of Montreal, TOTC -- all essentials. Idk if I would quite rank the others as desert island worthy but they're all solid albums, important indie darlings are accounted for. Good job!

Those three were the easy picks, the others I wasn't sure of. I think Meg was a big fan of Montreal too.

Tbqh I could last quite a while on a island with an hour of Del alone.

Anteater:

The first five albums are desert island discs for someone who's in his mid-sixties is about to actually retire on a deserted island with his yacht. So like yeah they are perfectly suited for your listening enjoyment. The next three are my picks, guestimating what you might like.
The last two are your #1 albums (of their respective year) ‎– so no complaints. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  1. Fleetwood Mac ‎– Rumours (1977)
  2. Steely Dan ‎– Aja (1977)
  3. The Doobie Brothers ‎– Minute By Minute (1978)
  4. Christopher Cross ‎– Christopher Cross (1979)
  5. Tubes ‎– The Completion Backward Principle (1981)
  6. The Primitives ‎– Lovely (1988)
  7. Dave Matthews Band ‎– Under The Table And Dreaming (1994)
  8. Frou Frou ‎– Details (2001)
  9. Ice Choir – Designs In Rhythm (2016)
  10. Damnations Day - A World Awakens (2017)
