He is Australian, but now I believe residing in Berlin
I wonder if there's a blueprint for that from let's say the 80s, being an Australian musician who moves to Berlin and becomes part of the local scene...

So do you have any new music to recommend that you have discovered?

I came across these guys - not sure how - for I think it was Metal Month III and just loved them. I mean, why hasn't someone done this before? It's such an obvious crossover from metal to mariachi! ****ing hilarious!

Anyone who knows me knows I have no time for jazz, but I came across these guys and did feel the need to run screaming away...

Of interest probably only to Anteater and a few others, the rest of you can **** off with your smart comments.

New AOR/Melodic Rock band from Norway, superb sound somewhat reminiscent of Work of Art or Houston.

Memoria Avenue* - "The Air That I Breathe", from the self-titled debut album

* note: NOT Memorial Avenue, as Google will insist. Different band.

ils Petter Molvr ils Petter Molvr ils Petter Molvr ils

Jazz trumpeter from Norway who is regarded as a nu jazz/future jazz pioneer (blending jazz with electronic stylings and other genres).

I'm not sure whether I like this guy's work yet, but that wasn't a prerequisite in the first place. This material is very moderate in contrast to much jazz fusion, or even bebop, for that matter.

This type of music reminds me of Miles Davis' 1980s work, such as Decoy and Tutu.

Take this I just happen to tune to..love this myself..ok I love most music..

To me that is no hard rock but more like your example of melody rock also.
