Default Looking for musicians

Hi fellow musicbanterers,

I'm making some music these days which sometimes includes things I cannot do or instruments I don't have. I've taken to hiring musicians from fiverr, so I've hired a violin player, singer for a track and am waiting for some flute recordings to be delivered any day now.

HOWEVER.

It's more fun to use people you sorta know (who do it pro bono). More so than the faceless masses on fiverr. And I know there are some performing musicians amongst our fine bunch of musicbanterers who probably have some decent recording equip too, so..

I wanted to ask... would any of you be downs like the clowns you are and make some sweet ass music together?

Right now I'm particularly interested in female vocals, but I'd be interested in guitars, drums, bass, violins and other string instruments, steel drums, marimbas, vibraphones, flutes ofc, trumpets, harmonicas, accordions, pianos, etc. etc.

I myself am also able to provide similar services to others if you need. Acoustic guitars, melodica, piano perhaps.. Just don't ask me to sing because I sound like a cat passing a kidney stone.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

No mention of copyright? Don't get taken in by this grifter, fellas.

I actually could use a mandolin for an acoustic ballad I've got cooking. If it's okay, I'll clean it up a little (it's a little rough still) and send you a link in a PM. If you could take a listen, that'd be great

You may be mistaking me for that other fella who suggested we send him our music so he can publish it on Spotify.

I can offer up my expertise in Kazoo solos's. Just got me a new rig:

I'm ok at guitar too, but guitarists are a dime a dozen.

If I ever cover yakety sax, I might send you a PM

Guitarists are a dime a dozen, but I'd still be interested in hearing what it is you do. I know quite a few metal style guitarists and I've also got kinda folky fingerstyle covered, but I'm not sure who I'd turn to if I needed some slide guitar for a country song or some really bluesy licks.

Slide guitar and bluesy licks you say?

This was a quick one I made with a cheapo Chinese knock-off resonator just to see how it would record with it's on-board preamp:

The second part is my PRS and a crappy drum track I was messing with.

Here's some blues:

I've got quite a few blues tunes.

Hey, nice!! I particularly like the blues track it's a really cool sounding production.

There's a lot of compression artifacts on the track, though, which is something I've also experienced with Soundcloud as they used to (still do?) compress everything you upload into 128 kbps mp3s. So that would get noticeable, especially if what you uploaded was an mp3. Do you also release to streaming platforms like spotify?

I don't have any slidey / bluesy projects going on at the moment, but if I do I'll nag you about it
